Concord, N.C. (April 2, 2008) – Aflac, the number one provider of guaranteed-renewable insurance in the United States, will be the primary sponsor of Carl Edwards’ No. 99 Roush Fenway Racing team this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. Additionally, Aflac will also be the primary sponsor next weekend at Phoenix International Raceway.
Edwards will drive the No. 99 Aflac Ford Fusion in a total of eight races throughout the 2008 season. The green and blue paint scheme debuted at Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 9. In addition to Texas and Phoenix, Aflac will be the primary sponsor at Pocono Raceway on June 8, Daytona International Speedway on July 5, Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 27, Auto Club Speedway on August 31, and Lowe’s Motor Speedway on October 11.
Aflac re-launched their NASCAR-affiliated Web site, AflacRacing.com in conjunction with the Atlanta race. The new site not only features unique content on Edwards, but also that loveable duck. In addition, fans can find out what tracks are Edwards’ favorites and which ones give him trouble as he analyzes each one. For those fans who want to ask Edwards their question in person, there will be sweepstakes to enter to win an opportunity to meet Edwards.
Race fans can register at AflacRacing.com. Two Grand Prize winners and their guests will receive a package from May 15-18 that includes a VIP Experience during NASCAR's All-Star Race weekend, a meet and greet opportunity with Carl Edwards, roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations and $500 spending money.
Registration ends April 10 at 11:59 PM EST.
