All-Star Kind of Love!

Harlequin, a leading publisher of women’s fiction worldwide, and Office Depot® (NYSE: ODP), the official office products partner of NASCAR, will announce the winner of their joint “Say Yes To A Winning Proposal” national contest during the 2008 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race weekend at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

The winner will have his or her marriage proposal featured on the back of Carl Edwards’ No. 99 Office Depot Ford during the May 17 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race (SPEED, 7 p.m. EST) and receive a VIP prize package worth more than $10,000.

The contest, which launched on February 14 at Daytona International Speedway and ran through March 31, required entrants to tell Harlequin and Office Depot – in 50 words or less – why their marriage proposal should happen at the All-Star Race and what winning the contest would mean to them.

More than 600 entries were submitted at, a Web site dedicated to the Harlequin NASCAR fan.

“This contest is a really cool example of the partnership between Office Depot and Harlequin, and gives fans a different and personal opportunity to experience NASCAR,” said Edwards, who will help unveil the winning marriage proposal on his No. 99 Office Depot Ford during a May 16 press briefing at the speedway.

In addition to having their proposal highlighted on the back of Edwards’ No. 99 Office Depot Ford, the winner will also receive a diamond ring, customized stationery provided by the Office Depot Design, Print & Ship Depot and a romantic trip for two to Red Rocks Country in Sedona, Ariz.

Meet the Winner

The Harlequin and Office Depot “Say Yes To A Winning Proposal” national contest winner press briefing with Carl Edwards will take place at 11:30 a.m. EST on Friday, May 16, in the Time Warner Media Center at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
