After running the 11th-fastest lap in practice, Greg Biffle made contact with the outside wall late in the sesson. The crew got right to work fixing the damage because they felt that they had a fast racecar. Biffle was the 34th driver to take the track in time trials and turned in a 26.4-second lap which will put him 20th for the start of Sunday's race in Phoenix.
"The car is still just too loose," said Biffle. "The guys worked really hard to fix the body damage from practice but it was still just too loose. I thought we'd be faster than that though."
