BALTIMORE, Md. (Apr. 16, 2008) – CitiFinancial today announced the re-launch of its racing website www.citifinancialracing.com. The website will host a multitude of new and innovative content, featuring a video greeting from CitiFinancial and Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) driver Greg Biffle. Additionally, Biffle will offer visitors tips on how to navigate through the site that includes current news on how the CitiFinancial team is running, where the CitiFinancial drivers are appearing, what stops the No. 16 CitiFinancial show car is making, sweepstakes opportunities, information on CitiFinancial products and much, much more.
“Our new and improved citifinancialracing.com website is an exciting addition to our RFR partnership. Through the site, our customers, employees, and fans will be able stay current with the CitiFinancial Racing all-star team, enter for a chance to win our ‘Crew Chief for a Day’ sweepstakes, and have access to the valuable financial products offered by both CitiFinancial and Citi,” said Jim Ryan, Senior Vice President of Marketing & Franchise Development.
CitiFinancial announced in January a partnership with RFR to be the primary sponsor of the CitiFinancial Ford Fusion for all 35 NASCAR Nationwide Series events in 2008, rotating between the Nos. 16, 17 and 60 Fords. The sponsorship is part of a new multifaceted, strategic marketing partnership between RFR and CitiFinancial’s parent company Citi – the leading global financial services company. The relationship gives CitiFinancial an all-star line-up of drivers to pilot its cars including NASCAR Sprint Cup Series full-time drivers Biffle, Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, and Jamie McMurray, and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series drivers Colin Braun and Erik Darnell. Additionally, Citi is a major associate sponsor on all of RFR teams.
A highlight of the revised website is the “Crew Chief for a Day” sweepstakes program that CitiFinancial is continuing through the 2008 race season. Fans can access the registration form for the sweepstakes directly from the main page of the racing website. Additional information includes official rules, grand prize information and entry period dates. Various other opportunities for entry will take place at branch show car events and lead generating events throughout the season.
CitiFinancial hopes that fans will use the site as a tool to keep up to speed with the CitiFinancial Racing program, in addition to researching various other products and services the company offers.
