Braun on racing at Daytona International Speedway:

“I’m so ready to get back in my truck at Daytona. Without testing it’s seemed like a very long off-season. We should have a fast truck. It ran well at Talladega last fall. We’ve also taken it to the wind tunnel a few times and the body shop built more downforce into it. I think my biggest challenge during the race will be not having any teammates to draft with me. Erik Darnell and I ran well together at Talladega, but I’m the only Roush Fenway truck in the race. I’ll be relying on help from my Ford teammates like Rick Crawford, and hopefully with a full season under my belt I’ve been able to gain a little respect from some of the veterans who will help me out as well. It will be a fun race.”

Crew chief Mike Beam on racing at Daytona International Speedway:

“This race will be a lot different from any other Daytona I’ve done before. With the new pit rules in the truck series there will be so many different strategies going on. It will be a tough race to call, trying to figure out if tires or fuel is more important on each stop. It will also be a challenge for Colin without any teammates to help him in the draft. Our pit strategy will be even more important to keep him up front with the lead draft.”
