LAS VEGAS (March 9, 2014) – Carl Edwards scored a fifth-place finish to lead the Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) effort in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Greg Biffle finished 22nd, after going down a lap early. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. finished 27th, after an untimely penalty for speeding on pit road. Stenhouse led RFR in qualifying, starting the race sixth.
Edwards used a combination of speed and pit strategy to secure RFR’s 47th top-five finish at the 1.5 mile track.
RFR and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series return to action next week at Bristol Motor Speedway, where the organization boasts 10 wins in the Cup Series.
