Ft. Worth, Texas. (April 12, 2013) – Carl Edwards and the No. 99 Fastenal Ford team landed a ninth place starting position after a fast lap of 27.81 seconds (194.14 mph).
“That’s pretty good,” said Edwards. “The lap Aric ran is spectacular. I felt like our lap was very good. I’m very proud of it. It was about a second faster than what we ran in practice, so the guys did a great job.”
The Missouri native returns to the track tomorrow for his 17th Sprint Cup start where he has three NSCS wins at Texas Motor Speedway.
“We’re hoping to get this Fastenal Fusion in Victory Lane,” Edwards continued. “ It’s really fun to win these races. Eddie makes it a blast. You get to shoot the six-shooters down there and there are fireworks going off and cowboy hats. It’s a very cool place to win a race and hopefully we can get Fastenal to Victory Lane.”
