Kenseth To Start 30th in 50th Running of Coca-Cola 600

Concord, N.C. (May 21, 2009) – Matt Kenseth turned a lap of 29.094 (185.605 mph) around the 1.5-mile quad oval of Lowe's Motor Speedway on Thursday night to qualify his R+L Carriers Ford Fusion 30th for Sunday's Coca-Cola 600.

Kenseth earned his first NASCAR Sprint Cup win in the 2000 Coca-Cola 600 and has finished inside the top 10 in six of nine of the 600-mile races, including two runner up finishes in ’02 and ’03.

The teams will take off Friday, before returning to action on Saturday for two afternoon (2:45-3:30 p.m. and 6:00 - 6:50 p.m.) practice sessions.

Green flag for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 -- the longest race of the NASCAR season – is set for 5:45 p.m. EDT and will be televised on FOX Network with prerace starting at 5 p.m.
