CONCORD, NC (May 28, 2008) - Matt Kenseth is set to drive the DEWALT NANO Technology Ford Fusion this weekend at Dover International Speedway – a track where Kenseth has enjoyed much success.
Said Kenseth, “Dover is probably my favorite track for a lot of different reasons. My first Cup race was there, plus we’ve won a couple times there in the Nationwide Series, then we got our first Cup win there in 2006, so we’ve had a lot of good times at Dover. But, we’ve also had our share of bad times too. It seems every time we go to Dover it’s either all or nothing. We either run really well and finish well, or something crazy happens and we don’t end up with a good finish.
“Dover is also a special place for team 17 as it’s located in DEWALT’s backyard. DEWALT has been a great partner of mine for many years now. A win at Dover for me is like the Packers winning at Lambeau Field.”
Since making his Cup Series debut at the one-mile track known as the Monster Mile in 1998, Kenseth has made a total of 18 appearances there scoring two poles, one win, five top-five and 10 top-10 finishes. Kenseth captured his first Cup Series pole there in 2002.
