Concord, N.C. (May 20, 2008) – David Ragan and the No. 6 Discount Tire Ford Fusion team will have a different look this weekend in Charlotte. The team will use a reverse paint scheme on the No. 6 Discount Tire Ford Fusion. The car’s primary color will be black with indigo orange and white. The Discount Tire corporate office has dedicated the special paint scheme to the entire team because of their hard work and dedication to the 2008 season. The idea for the new look came from members of the Discount Tire crew and holds special meaning for everyone in the Discount Tire Family.
“I think it’s cool to have a different look at our home track,” said car chief Heath Landis. “The car will look good under the lights and I truly believe we have a serious shot to win this weekend.”
“We never leave the shop without thinking we have a legitimate chance to win,” said crew chief Mike Kelley. The reverse paint scheme will bring a lot of excitement to the team this weekend. It will give us added incentive to run well and hopefully put our Discount Tire Ford Fusion in Victory Lane.”
This is the second time The Discount Tire Co. has run a reverse paint scheme in the two years the company has been with Roush Fenway Racing.
