Q: Since you are the older cousin of Roush Fenway Racing DRIVER David Ragan does he ask for advice about anything car related?
A: David concentrates on driving and relies on me to explain how things work with the cars. David has a pretty good understanding of race cars, but if he has any questions regarding particular set-ups he knows he can ask me.
Q: How many years have you worked alongside your cousin David Ragan?
A: Since he started racing Bandoleros and Legend cars about 11 years ago.
Q: How is it working with family?
A: It’s great. The whole family is at the track pulling for the No.6 team. It has strengthened our bond as a family and it allows us to appreciate each other a little bit more. Since we are always on the road we really don’t to spend a lot of time at home. So, this is a great way to take advantage of seeing loved ones and share in this experience.
Q: Do you ever spend time at David’s race shop in Kannapolis?
A: I spend close to 20 hours a week at the shop. I leave work around 4:30 and go right to David’s shop. We work on a few late-models and legends cars. I can remember when David’s dad and my dad raced in the 80’s; it was the greatest thing I had ever seen. I knew I wanted to be involved in racing professionally and as a hobby.
