Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Bristol Advance

“Bristol should be interesting with the new qualifying format. The fans should really enjoy it. We will focus on qualifying well and getting a good starting position for our Nationwide Insurance Ford. If we can stay out of trouble and not make any mistakes on pit-road, I’m certain that we will have a solid finish this weekend.”  Stenhouse on Bristol:


Stenhouse at Bristol

  • Stenhouse has two Sprint Cup career starts at the World’s Fastest Half-Mile with an average finishing position of 17. 
  • Stenhouse has six Nationwide career starts, earning one top-five and two top-10 finishes.
  • Stenhouse is currently 16th in the Sprint Cup point standings.

The Car

  • Chassis RK-888 is a brand new chassis for the 2013 Rookie of the Year. The back-up chassis raced several times in 2013, but most recently at Dover where Stenhouse finished 17th. 

Nationwide Insurance

  • Nationwide Insurance teamed up with Stenhouse Jr. and the No. 17 team in 2013 where they served as primary for three races.
  • Nationwide Insurance will serve as primary of the No. 17 Ford seven times this 2014 season.

Mike Kelley on Bristol:

“Bristol is a tough track because anything can happen so quick. It is a long race so we just need to make sure we are there at the end. Track position is crucial. I think we are all concerned about the new qualifying procedures at Bristol and being able to get a good lap. I’m confident that we can get a top-10 finish in our Nationwide Insurance Ford.”
