Daytona Beach, Fla. (Feb. 16, 2013) – The 2013 NASCAR season officially kicks off in a couple of hour when the green-flag drops on the Sprint Unlimited all-star race. It will mark the debut of the Gen6 car in NASCAR.

The 75-lap race format – as determined by fan vote – will feature segments broken into 30, 25 and 20 laps. Additionally, yet to be determined fan votes will decide the pit format for the first segment, starting lineups and potential elimination.

Trevor Bayne, driving the No. 21 Wood Brothers Ford, turned a lap of 194.852 mph for the sixth fastest time in the second practice session.
