Straight from the 2008 RFR Fan of the Year: Jon's Michigan and Kentucky Preview

Well hello Roush Fenway Racing fans!

"This weekend is the "House of Roush" racing action at none other than Michigan Speedway.  I call it the "House of Roush" because it is in Jack's backyard basically, being only 70 miles from the Detroit/Livonia area where Roush Industries is headquartered.  We have had so much success at that track over the years, and I feel more success coming on this weekend!  Any one of our drivers can win at this track.  They’ve had great finishes there, with several victories included.  The teams had some great runs going last week at Pocono, and we almost got one there.  I don't know about you, but I can sense some momentum building with our race teams as we now head into the summer stretch of races.

"I really feel good about our chances at Michigan, and at the next several tracks on the schedule.  Our teams have been working very hard on their cars and race preparations, that we are bound to win some races in the near future.  This is a great time to pick up steam and make a run for the top positions in the points, and I firmly believe that as an organization, we will do so!  Michigan is a wide, two-mile super speedway that allows the drivers to run the low line and the high line successfully throughout the race.  A strong handling car in the turns will allow our heroes to go into the corners fast, and also let them get in the gas a bit earlier when exiting the corners for the long straight-aways.  My faith is with the teams this weekend to unload strong and make any necessary adjustments to their cars to make the fastest one out there.  Roush Fenway Racing will win this weekend!  Will it be Carl's turn for a back flip?  How about Greg's chances for a victory burnout?  Matt has the team and car to bring it home and do a victory spin-out in the front stretch grass!  I like David's chances to score that elusive first Cup victory this weekend!  His crew is awesome and they are poised to go to victory lane!  And of course, Jamie is ready to win also.  His luck will change for the better and I think we'll see him in winner's circle before too long, especially since there are a bunch of tracks coming up where he runs really strong!  Maybe it will be at Michigan this weekend!  Tune in on Sunday to find out!

"I also like our chances at Kentucky this weekend in the Nationwide Series.  Like Michigan, it is a wide, fast super speedway that our drivers have run well on in the past.  I look for success for all our teams heading into Saturday night's race there.  Erik Darnell is a guy to watch.  He is running solidly in his limited schedule so far, and I wouldn't put it past him to find the trophy before the night's end!  That would be cool to see a fellow Illinois guy take home the top prize!  I'm pulling for you, Erik!

"The trucks of the Camping World Series are in Michigan as well this weekend.  Colin Braun is gaining momentum, especially after his third place run in his last race.  That dude will win one soon too!  I can feel it coming!  Best of luck to all of our teams this weekend!  May they find victory lane in Kentucky and at Michigan!  Go get em' guys!"
