ADVANCE NOTES

Wallace at Watkins Glen International

Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Watkins Glen International marks Bubba Wallace’s first start at the 2.45-mile road course and his first start on a road course in the series.

Wallace has two road course races under his belt in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series; both at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.  His best start was seventh (2014) and his best finish was fourth (2013).

On the Car

The No. 6 Ford Mustang carries the Cheez-It colors this weekend at Watkins Glen International.  Be sure to visit cheezitracing.com for the inside scoop on the Cheez-It Racing program and to keep up with social highlights.

Cheez-It is the title sponsor for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Cheez-It 355 at the Glen.  Roush Fenway teammate Greg Biffle will also carry the Cheez-It colors this weekend.

As part of the Cheez-It weekend, Wallace will make an appearance at a local Wal-Mart to sign autographs for fans.  Wallace will be available at 515 E. 4th Street, Watkins Glen starting at 6 p.m. ET on Friday.

Fans can also see Wallace at the Cheez-It activation area at the track for a Q&A on Saturday from 10:00 – 10:15 a.m. ET.

Recapping Iowa Speedway

Wallace battled a loose Ford EcoBoost Mustang in the NASCAR XFINITY Series night race at Iowa Speedway, bringing home an 11th-place finish.

QUOTE WORTHY

Bubba Wallace on racing at Watkins Glen International

“We’re switching things up a little bit this weekend, heading to the first road course of the season. This is obviously a huge weekend for Cheez-It, so I’m ready to come out here and give them a good finish. I’ve spent a lot of time on the simulator this week, just learning this track and trying to get a good idea of braking points.”
