Roush Fenway Names Rick Viers Crew Chief for the No. 16 Nationwide Team

Concord, N.C.(June 14, 2010) – Roush Fenway Racing has named Rick Viers as the crew chief of its No. 16 Nationwide team. Viers assumes the duty immediately and will lead the team this weekend at Road America (Wis.).

Nationwide Series Races the Rain in Kentucky

Nashville, Tenn. (June 12, 2010) – In a race against the weather, the NASCAR Nationwide Series put on a spectacular show at Kentucky Speedway in the final 50 laps.  Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 60 Fanhouse.com Ford, battled an ill-handling Ford early in the race but at the end, he was a contender for the win as he gave Joey Logano a run for his money in the closing laps.  Logano went on to take the checkers with Edwards finishing second for the second week in a row.

Strong Finish for Braun and No.16 Con-way Freight Team

Sparta, Ky. (June 12, 2010) – In his return to the No. 16 Con-way Freight Ford Colin Braun qualified 13th for the Meijer 300 at Kentucky Speedway.  Braun and the team unloaded a very fast race car at the start of the weekend and raced in the top-15 for most of the event.  After surviving five cautions in the last 55 laps and impending inclement weather, Braun went on to finish 10th, his second top-10 finish in as many races.  He was also the Raybestos Rookie of the Race.

Colin Braun 2010 NNS Kentucky Advance

Colin Braun returns to the No. 16 Con-way Freight Ford Fusion this weekend for Roush Fenway Racing at Kentucky Speedway this weekend.  Braun was last in the car three weeks ago at Dover International Speedway where he recorded his first top-10 of the season.  Last weekend, Braun practiced the No. 98 car for teammate Paul Menard at Nashville Superspeedway while Menard was fulfilling his Cup Series duties in Pocono.  Check out all of Colin's statistics and thoughts on racing at Kentucky Speedway!

No. 16 Con-way Team PR Blog

How’s it going everyone? Things have really been busy around here for me and this No. 16 team the past few weeks.  We had a really good finish with Colin at Dover in the Con-way Freight car- his first top-10 of the year which was really great for him.  Then we got to Race Weeks here in Charlotte and welcomed Brian Ickler to the team.  He drove the No.

Roush Fenway Racing 2010 Pocono/Nashville Advance

After spending over two weeks home in Charlotte, N.C., Roush Fenway heads in separate directions, with the Sprint Cup Series taking action in Pocono, Penn., while the Nationwide Series heads to Nashville, Tenn. Braun and No.16 team Put Together Best Run of Season

Fort Worth, Texas (April 19, 2010) – After waiting through two rain delays, the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Texas Motor Speedway was finally completed on Monday afternoon.  Colin Braun again had to qualify the No. 16 Con-way Freight Ford on time and did so, starting the O’Reilly Challenge in the eleventh spot.   Braun fought a tight handling race car through the first half of the race, but the Con-way Freight team continued to make adjustments to the car and finished 13th; the team’s highest finish of the season.

Colin Braun 2010 NNS Talladega Advance

Colin Braun is making his first NASCAR Nationwide Series start at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend in the Aaron’s 312.  Braun has made two previous starts at the track in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, with an average start of 2.0 and an average finish of 8.0!  Check out all of Colin's statistics and thoughts on racing at Talladega Superspeedway!

Colin Braun No. 16 Con-way Freight Qualifying Report

Talladega, Ala. (April 23, 2010) – Colin Braun put his No. 16 Con-way Freight Ford Fusion in the field for tomorrow’s Aaron’s 312 at Talladega Superspeedway with a time of 51.96 seconds.  He will start 13th.  Braun’s Roush Fenway Racing teammates qualified second (Carl Edwards), third (Ricky Stenhouse Jr.) and eighth (Paul Menard).  Kevin Harvick claimed the pole with a time of 51.106 seconds driving his own Kevin Harvick Incorporated car.  This is Braun’s first Nationwide Series start at Talladega Superspeedway.
