Rain Postpones Sprint Cup and Nationwide Races to Monday

Ft. Worth, Texas (April 18, 2010) – Persistent rains forced the postponement of Sunday’s scheduled Samsung 500 Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway. The Nationwide Series race, which had already been postponed from Saturday due to rain, was again postponed to Monday as well.


The Sprint Cup race will be held on Monday at 12 noon EDT and will be televised by FOX, while the Nationwide Race is set for 5 p.m. EDT and will be televised by ESPN2.

Kenseth’s Crew Claims Tissot Pit Road Award in Phoenix

Matt Kenseth’s over-the-wall crew captured the Tissot Pit Road Precision Award in Saturday’s (April 10) Subway Fresh Fit 600 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Phoenix International Raceway.

The quick stops by the No. 17 crew helped Kenseth attain a sixth-place finish at the one-mile oval.

Roush Fenway Finishes Sixth and Seventh in Phoenix

Kenseth moves to second in points; Edwards cracks top-10 in points

Avondale, Ariz. (April 10, 2010) – Roush Fenway Racing’s Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards battled down to the wire for sixth and seventh place-finishes in Saturday night’s Subway Fresh Fit 600 at Phoenix International Raceway. The sixth-place finish moved Kenseth into second in the point standings, while the seventh-place run advanced Edwards six positions to eighth in the Sprint Cup point standings.

Roush Fenway Puts Two Cars in Top-10 in Wild Finish at Martinsville

Martinsville, Va.(March 29, 2010) – Roush Fenway’s Matt Kenseth made a last lap bid for the victory and the points lead in the rain-delayed Goody’s 500 at Martinsville Speedway, but was knocked out of the way just after taking the lead on the final lap of the 508-lap extended event.

Kenseth Can Earn Chase Berth at Atlanta This Weekend

Concord, N.C. (Sept. 2, 2010) --- With two races left in the Race to the Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship, Matt Kenseth and his No. 17 Crown Royal Black team travel to Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend in the hopes of clinching a Chase berth.  Kenseth is currently eighth in the driver-point standings where the top 12 drivers earn a place in NASCAR’s 10-race “playoff-style” finale.  The Chase field will be set following the race on September 11 at Richmond International Raceway according to where drivers are in the point standings.

Roush Fenway Looks to Lock up Three Teams in '10 Sprint Cup Chase

Concord, N.C. (Sept. 1, 2010)– Roush Fenway Racing heads into this weekend’s Labor Day showdown at Atlanta Motor Speedway with three cars on the verge of locking up spots in this season’s Chase for the Sprint Cup. The organization’s fleet is peaking at the right time, having seen its average finish drop to 11.75 in the past four races, compared to almost 17 in the previous four and 20th in the month of June.

Matt Kenseth 2010 NNS Atlanta Advance

Matt Kenseth 2010 Atlanta Advance

This weekend Matt will pilot the No. 17 Crown Royal Black Ford Fusion for his 21st Cup start at Atlanta. Matt has completed 6,430 of 6,773 laps (94.9 percent) and led for 189, with an average starting position of 22.8 and an average finishing position of 13.1!  Matt has also has achieved eight top-fives and twelve top-10’s at Atlanta in the Cup series!  Check out all of Matt's statistics and thoughts on racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway!

Kenseth to Make Nationwide Start at Atlanta

Concord, N.C. (Aug. 25, 2010) – Matt Kenseth is set to make his third Nationwide Series start this season for Roush Fenway Racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway driving the No. 16 World Financial Group (WFG) Ford.  The Atlanta-based WFG began their partnership with Roush Fenway Racing in 2004 and they are making their first on-track appearance since winning with Carl Edwards at Phoenix International Raceway in 2008.
