Carl Edwards’ NASCAR career began in 2002 when he ran a handful of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races for a team based in his home state of Missouri. His performance, however was enough to catch the attention of Jack Roush who hired Edwards to drive one of his trucks for the full season in 2003. Edwards claimed rookie of the year honors and collected six wins during his two-year tenure in the truck series. Edwards Brings Home a Big Fifth Place Finish at Watkins Glen

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (August 10, 2014) – Driving his No. 99 Cheez-It Ford in the Cheez-It 355 at The Glen, Edwards arrived to Watkins Glen International hoping to sweep the road courses in 2014.  The Missouri-native lined up 16th to start and landed his fifth top-five finish, taking his Ford Fusion to a fifth place finish at the checkered flag.
