Concord, N.C. (October 28, 2009) – Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. returned to his sprint car roots last Sunday and did so in a big way, winning the Trick-or-Treat Nationals from Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark., just a short drive from his hometown of Olive Branch, Miss.  The race capped off a busy weekend of racing for Stenhouse, Jr.  Friday and Saturday he was at Memphis Motorsports Park, practicing and qualifying the No. 16 CitiFinancial Ford Fusion for his Roush Fenway Racing teammate Matt Kenseth.

“It’s been a busy week,” said Stenhouse, Jr.  “But I’ve loved every second.  I’ve been going to Riverside my whole life so it’s really special to win there.  There’s a lot of people around this area who’ve helped me in my racing career and if it weren’t for them I wouldn’t be here.  It’s a lot of fun to come back home and spend time with friends and family and thank everyone for their support.”

Stenhouse, Jr. will meet up with the CitiFinancial team Monday for a NASCAR Nationwide Series test at Talladega Superspeedway before returning home to run the 22nd Annual O’Reilly Short Track Nationals at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., next weekend.
