Kenseth Qualifies 30th at Texas

FT. WORTH, Texas (Nov. 6, 2009) – Matt Kenseth turned a lap of 28.677 (188.304 mph) to qualify 30th for Sunday’s Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. Kenseth, who led 55 laps on the way to a fifth-place finish at TMS in the spring race, will start outside of row 15.

In 14 previous starts at Texas Motor Speedway, Kenseth has turned in one win, six top-five and nine top-10 finishes. His 497 career laps led in Sprint Cup action at TMS is a track record.

Kenseth won the race at Texas Motor Speedway in 2002 after starting 31st.

Green flag for Sunday’s race is set for 3:31 p.m. EST. The race will be televised by ABC with live coverage set for 2:30 p.m.
