New for 2010 Roush Fenway Racing plans to bring more content from the road straight to you! Our upcoming website is going to have more information, more videos, and more behind-the-scenes action than ever before! We are working hard to bring the race experience closer to our fans and to give you an in-depth look at Roush Fenway Racing. Below is an example of the blogs that the account managers will be posting throughout the year. This will be in a special area on our driver pages so that you can follow along with your favorite driver!
Hello Roush Fenway fans! I’m Nancy and I’m the account manager on the No. 6 UPS Ford, so I’m the keeper for all things to do with David Ragan and the UPS team. There’s one of me on each team and you’ll be hearing from all of us throughout the season keeping you informed on everything going on in our world. First of all, where did the off season go! Our world revolves around race weekends and the few weekends we are home in December and January tend to fly by.
Here’s a little glimpse of what our so-called off season was like. December was a month for photo shoots and commercial filming. David and I were out in California for a week filming this year’s installments of the UPS commercials. By the way, the first of which will air next weekend during the Daytona 500. In addition to the photo shoots and commercial filming it’s also the month we order all the items for 2010. Firesuits, crew shirts, pit wall banners, etc, it all gets ordered. We also try to take some vacations days since it’s the only month where we can all really get away from work for awhile over the holidays, so we take full advantage of that and enjoy time at home. January is spent getting everything prepared for the season. Life is much easier during the season if you spend the time getting everything lined up and organized over the off season.
Well for those of you who followed David last year it wasn’t the best season for us, but thanks for hanging in there and things are bound to be better this year. We’ve got a new crew chief, Donnie Wingo, and pretty much a whole new team. Everyone is excited moving into this season and I expect us to do pretty well.
My UPS team is ready for Daytona and so am I. We head there today and are ready to get back at things. Wish us luck and we’ll talk to you soon!
