After a solid practice this afternoon, Biffle felt the 3M Ford would be a top-three car on Sunday. He then got a late draw for qualifying and went out 35th. He turned in the seventh-fastest lap time and as no one after him topped his speed, he claimed the seventh starting position for Sunday's race.
“I bounced up the race track a little bit trying real hard, but you just never know. Should I have gone around the bumps or drove a little bit lower? My car was really, really loose in qualifying trim. I had a real struggle with it, so I wasn’t sure what to expect there, but it was pretty good.”
Tune in to live race coverage this Sunday on FOX at 3:00 p.m. ET.
