Avondale, Ariz. (March 1, 2013) – Rookie Ricky Stenhouse Jr. led the Roush Fenway effort in Sprint Cup qualifying Friday afternoon at Phoenix International Raceway. Stenhouse hit a high speed of 136.731 mph on the 1-mile oval to qualifying 12th for Sunday’s event. Carl Edwards qualified 15th (136.483 mph) and Greg Biffle rounded out the RFR effort with a 17th-place qualifying run (136.291 mph).
The Sprint Cup teams return to action for two practice sessions on Saturday. Sunday’s Subway Fresh Fit 500 is set for 3:00 p.m. EST and will be televised live on FOX.
