Braun on racing at Kansas Speedway:
“I am really looking forward to getting back in the truck this weekend. I feel like it’s been months since we’ve raced. Kansas is a great track and we finished third there last year so I’m hoping we can improve on that. I know two Roush Fenway drivers got their first wins in the truck series there so I’d really like to add my name to that list. The time we spent in Rockingham testing last week should help. We are getting back to basics with some of our set-up stuff, back to what the team ran in 2006 and 2007 when they won so many races with Mark Martin and Travis Kvapil. We have all the elements in place for a strong run, we just have to stay focused and be there at the end.”
Crew chief Mike Beam on racing at Kansas Speedway:
“Colin had a great run in Kansas last year and earned a top-five finish so I’m counting on doing that, or better, this weekend. Kansas is a good track for Roush drivers, especially in the truck series. We spent two days testing at Rockingham last week to prepare and I think our efforts will pay off at the upcoming intermediate tracks. This should be a good weekend for us to gain back some points we lost in the last three races.”
