Driver Blog: Colin Braun

What’s up guys? I’m doing well and very excited to get to Dover this weekend.  I’m going to be back in the No. 16 Con-way Freight Ford and looking for a great weekend for this team.  I learned a lot from Matt in both Richmond and Darlington.  While it was disappointing obviously to not be in the car, it was cool to be able to just listen and watch and see where I can be doing things differently to improve myself as a driver.  I got to kind of pick Matt’s brain to about the set-ups and why the car was doing what it was doing during both of the practices.  Seeing the races from the spotter stand was cool too.  It’s a whole different take on things from up there!

Dover is a pretty good track for me.  I finished eighth in my first truck race there back in 2008.  Last year, I had taken the lead with about 15 to go, and then blew a tire the next lap.  It was disappointing for sure, but it gives me the confidence to know we can get it done.  Dover has a lot of personality and it’s one of the few concrete tracks we go to.  I think it will be a great race for the fans for sure.

Thanks for checking in everyone!
