Daytona Beach, FL.(Feb. 4, 2010) - Roush Fenway Racing’s Carl Edwards drew the pole in Thursday night’s Budweiser Shootout drawing and will start his No. 99 Scott’s Ford Fusion on the inside front row for Saturday night’s all-star shootout event at Daytona International Speedway. Greg Biffle (No. 16 3M Ford Fusion) drew fifth and Matt Kenseth will debut his No. 17 Crown Royal Fusion from eighth place.

In perhaps an over-eventful opening day to the 2010 season, two of the three Roush Fenway car’s were involved in a multi-car accident midway through the first practice session of the season during Shootout practice. While Kenseth’s Crown Royal Ford sustained only ‘cosmetic’ damage, Greg Biffle and the No. 16 team were forced to unload the backup car after getting caught up in the accident.

The teams will return to action on Friday for the first and second Daytona 500 practice sessions of the season at 2:10 p.m. An action packed Saturday will see Daytona 500 qualifying (two laps for the first two positions) at 1:05 p.m. and the Budweiser Shootout. The 75-lap Shootout is set for 8:10 p.m.
