Trevor Bayne – Richmond Advance

Bayne on racing at Richmond International Raceway:

“I always look forward to Richmond. It’s a short track, which is what I love. It’s getting more and more worn out, so it makes the racing more fun.  You can pace yourself and be smart about your tires. We are looking for a strong run this weekend and can’t wait to get the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford on the track.”

Bayne at Richmond International Raceway

  • Trevor Bayne makes his seventh NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at Richmond International Raceway (RIR) this Friday.  In his previous six starts, Bayne earned two top-five and three top-10 finishes.

The Car

  • The No. 6 AdvoCare team will race chassis RK-806 under the lights Friday night at RIR.  This chassis most recently raced at Bristol Motor Speedway earlier this season, finishing eighth.  Bayne also raced this chassis last season at Kansas Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway, finishing ninth and fifth, respectively.

Recapping Darlington

  • Bayne and the No. 6 team battled a tight race car early and a loose race car late at Darlington Raceway.  Team and driver were able to overcome any handling issues to finish ninth, earning Bayne’s sixth top-10 finish of the season.

Crew Chief Chad Norris on Richmond:

“Richmond is really a great place to race and I know Trevor is looking forward to going there this weekend. We are taking the same car that we used in Bristol; where we finished inside the top 10 a few weeks ago. Trevor has a pretty good track record at Richmond and we will go there looking to continue to build momentum and run up front.”
