New Content Preview: No. 16 Con-way Freight Team PR Blog

How’s it going everyone? Of course I’m the one that gets assigned the very next week after Randy Fuller to do my blog- man does he have a long list of accomplishments!  He’s pretty much a legend around here and not only that, but a really great person and co-worker.  Well, it’s been an up and down three weeks for me and the No. 16 team.  Last weekend in Las Vegas was by far the hardest though.  We were having a really good run and both the car and Colin kind of came alive at the halfway point of the race.  After that, we were running solidly in the top-12.  Even though it was freezing outside and the wind was whipping everything around, everyone in the No. 16 pit stall was smiling ear to ear because of the excitement and potential for a great finish.  Then with 30 laps to go we got taken out on a restart.  It’s very difficult for even the most seasoned veteran to not take stuff like that a little personally- and I am by no means a veteran at this job.

Anyway, we have two off weekends in a row here and I’m excited to get stuff done around my house and have my parents come to visit next weekend.  Colin and I will actually head up to Ann Arbor, Michigan next week to visit Con-way Freight for their President’s Award Winner Celebration.  I hope it has warmed up a bit since the last time we were there last month.  I shouldn’t hold my breath I guess, I mean, it’s Michigan in March.  It will be fun though I’m sure.  Con-way Freight has been great to Colin and Roush Fenway over the past few years and I’m looking forward to continuing that relationship in my position.

Well I hope everyone has a great week.  Be sure to find and follow me on Twitter- PR16CONWAY.  Take care!
