Andrea Perry No.17 PR Blog

Hello from the World’s Most Famous Beach, Daytona!

The NASCAR season is underway. I drove down to Daytona with my fellow partners in crime Nancy Padula (@163MTeam), Brooks Powell (@99_RFRracing) and the notorious Kevin Woods (@PRKevinRFR) on Tuesday. The six hour drive was filled with “are we there yet?”, and when my co-pilot wasn’t sleeping, he was playing a game that I think got the best of him.

Thursday was filled with a NASCAR on FOX shoot and an afternoon media session. After they edit it together, I can’t wait to see the NASCAR on FOX footage.

Since the No. 17 team wasn’t eligible for the Sprint Unlimited, our practice sessions were limited. We finally got on track yesterday and the No. 17 team seemed pretty happy with our practice sessions.

Today was qualifying for the front row of the Daytona 500. Ricky Stenhouse qualified 12th overall which lines the No. 17 Best Buy Ford in the sixth-position for Duel 2 on Thursday. The finishing order of the duels sets the remainder of the field for our Super Bowl, the Daytona 500.

There is no track activity on Monday or Tuesday so the No. 17 team headed back to North Carolina. If you are going to be in the Daytona Beach area on Tuesday, make sure to stop by the Best Buy store across from the track from 5-7 p.m. to meet Ricky.

Until next time….
